Mission and Vision

“To celebrate Motherhood and provide encouragement and support to mothers of all ages and backgrounds.”

Mission:

The Mission of the Mothers’ Association of Chapin (MAC) is to celebrate Motherhood as one of the most important and influential occupations in the world. In the celebration of this status, we, as members of MAC, will strive to provide encouragement; motivation and support to women who have chosen to put their family first. We will also strive to serve our community through community outreach projects that not only lift each other up as mothers and role models for our children, but also as women who have something of value to give others. We were established to make a difference in the lives of our families and the lives of others around us.

Vision:

To accomplish our mission to provide encouragement, motivation and support we hold meetings once a month. At each meeting we plan monthly activities for the adult members as well as for our children, organize projects and have time to fellowship and socialize with other members. We also provide, through the meetings and activities, educational opportunities in the form of guest speakers, useful information/tips and outside resources on relevant topics in the areas of parenting, marriage, women, etc. To provide support we have organized playgroups that promote socializing of members and their children. These small group settings build strong friendships and allow members to share experiences and advice. A monthly newsletter helps serve as encouragement as well as information about monthly activities, and club business. Newsletter articles regarding information useful to members as well as an interview with a member each month helps solidify relationships and encourages members by letting them know they are not the only women going through the things mothers face. The members also engage in a variety of community outreach projects such as raising money for several local charities and performing community services like visiting Retirement Homes and donating items to local schools, etc.
